The Airstrip of Sant'Illuminato (Greenfield) is located in Umbria in Tiber Valley, a few miles from Città di Castello (namely South West of Trestina) and is an integral part of the Farmhouse. The track, easily identifiable by the signs (skittle, sleeve windmill and square signals), is 800 Mt x 25 Mt. It's used exclusively for Air Transport ultralight aircraft (ULM - Hang-gliders motor, etc..), aviation aircraft or generally plane suitable to work with these features. In the farmhouse airstrip is possible to do exercise activities of flight and reconnaissance aviation, touristic flight over Città di Castello and the Tiber Valley, sporting flight and academic related air sports, activities for connecting flight to the Civil Defense.

Flight enthusiasts can enjoy the ultralight flight airstrip that the farm offers, given the passion of the owners to this sport. The farmhouse with flight field near Città di Castello is the ideal place to spend a few days immersed in nature and enjoy the relax that Valtiberina offers. Fly over Città di Castello and others town of Umbria and Tuscany is possible thanks to the track and field landing flight of Farmhouse Sant' Illuminato: the passion for flying of farmhouse holders will involve you and you'll feel emotions never try otherwise.
 

There are several excellent clubs where the control tower-staff speaks English, and everyone is friendly and willing to help. Give us a try, you will find clean air, sunny skies, great scenery and fantastic food and wines, flying in Umbria is an experience you’ll remember for years.

In our Farmhouse you can find special offer for pilots: you will sleep in a completly restored umbrian villa of 1600s, sited on a hill 500 meters away from the airstrip. Marco Silenzi, the farmhouse owner and pilot himself, will receive you cordially and amicably.

The costs is € 35,00 a day per person in BB, all over the year, August excluded. Lunch and dinner on request by the farmhouse or in nearby restaurants. We are waiting for you!
